This all new DVD takes you on some of the most
famous trails in America's most popular off roading destination:
Moab, Utah. Folks from around the country brought their Range
Rover Classics, Defenders, Discoverys (both Series 1 and
II) plus Series III 2.25 Lightweights, to spend three days
pitting their Land Rovers against Moab's challenging and
beautiful terrain. Ride along as they tackle slick rocks,
creek canyons, river fordings, sand, and steeply undulating
outcroppings. Like all good DVD's, this one has bonus features
including animated trail maps with GPS coordinates, and original
Land Rover themed music!
Bill Burke from 4 Wheeling America is their
guide: BP has sold both his 'Getting Unstuck' DVD and 'Getting
PREpared' DVD for some time now, and no one knows this
terrain better than he does. Watch as folks get hung up,
high centered, and cross axled, and Bill explains what they
did wrong and how to fix it. You'll learn a lot about off
roading techniques watching Bill and his well known Defender
90 lead the way. If you've been to Moab before, you'll recognize
'Metal Masher', odiferous 'Onion Creek', 'Rock Chucker' and
'Kane Creek', just to name a few. Finally, you can show your
friends where you've been and what you did. If not, once
you see them you'll want to try 'em yourself!
Hook up with a 4 Wheeling America tour and
you can live the adventure in person! These aren't monster
truck wannabe's or highly modified rigs, but sensibly outfitted
daily driven Land Rovers. You'd be surprised what a near
stock Discovery II can do, and of course the Series Land
Rover guys have to show off too. There are still things a
30 year old Land Rover can do that you'd never dare try with
a new one. These are day trips, not camp outs, so the lighting
and photography are clear and sharp.
High quality sound lets you hear it all
too: tires squealing on the rocks, gears crunching, and engines
revving, with approach and departure angles tested to the
limit. You'll hold onto your easy chair with both hands!
The vidcaps above are right off the DVD.

Getting Unstuck by Bill Burke (DVD)
 |
A video 'how to book' on off roading basics, tools
and gear you'll need and how to use 'em, plus common
scenarios worked through step by step. Up to your hubs
in loose sand? Bill shows the proper techniques with
a Hi-Lift jack, shovel, and Snatch Strap. This 2 hour
feature length program is searchable, so you can go
right to the technique you're interested in. Bill has
years of experience, and the emphasis is always on
safety: he walks you through the techniques just like
you were watching any other good 'do-it-yourself' show. |

This is a great program for beginners, or
those of you that might have desert experience but no mud
time. The video features different models of trucks in different
parts of the US (guess he had to use J--ps to demonstrate
the 'stuck' part, but there are lots of Rovers as well).
The breadth of experience is invaluable,
and businesses hire 4 Wheeling America for the kind of professional
training you'll get in this video. Here's an example: see
how the guy working the jack is holding his left hand?
That's to prevent injury should the handle flip up: most
of us would be pushing on the jack rather than pulling, exposing
the back of the hand to a nasty thwack! Injuries 100 miles
away from the nearest hospital are not fun. Even if you've
been running trails for years, you'll learn things.

Bill Burke's "Getting PREpared"
The all new companion volume to 'Getting UNstuck!
Bill Burke of '4 Wheeling America' explains
what you need to have in order to take an off
road trip. Whether you’re thinking about
going into the back country for simple 4-wheeling,
wildflower or wildlife watching, fishing, hunting,
biking, hiking, or overnighters, this 1.5 hour
DVD is packed with the kind of info every off
roader needs. It's a must have for first timers!

Bill Burke is nationally known as a professional
off road instructor: his company provides specialized
training for everyone from corporate executives to
utility company drivers. He's literally been there
and done that, and he makes sure his students are fully
equipped to travel safely away from the main highways.
Once again he shares this knowledge through a professionally
produced video program. |
Bill uses his extensive experience to give you suggestions
for deciding on the type of vehicle to use for the
conditions, tires, tools, parts, accessories, recovery
and camping gear: basically what to pack and how to
pack it. Bill also explains navigation, map & compass
reading, and more. There are tips on setting up a comfortable
campsite, specifics for cooking an easy meal, and many
other ways to help you plan and prepare for a successful
and enjoyable back country adventure! He even discusses
tent selection, and what you'll need for your dog. |
 |

Marvel at how efficiently Bill packs up all of his vehicles:
a bit of planning goes a long way to removing the frustration.
There's also 20 minutes of bonus footage with out takes,
plus an 8 page booklet with important check lists! It doesn't
matter if you're a first timer or an old hand, you'll find
this DVD to be informative and helpful.
