The part Land Rover should have made! This aftermarket kit relocates the spare tire from under the back of the truck to out back, where it belongs. This relocation allows you to change a flat alongside the road without laying down under your Land Rover.  You stay cleaner and can change your own tire and be on your way faster than most road side assistance companies can get to you.    When you are out on the trail, the spare tire mounted under the body often hangs up and can get damaged.  The small space under the LR3 is not large enough to mount a larger spare should you install larger tires.

Most of the hardware hides behind the rear bumper or under the tire for a very clean appearance. The latch is the handle shown under the tire, which uses a strong bail-style clamp to prevent rattles. There is a locking pin to hold the arm at 90 degrees to prevent damage to the bodywork when open. Suitable for both 18" and 19" factory wheels. We recommend professional installation since holes must be drilled in the rear bumper bar under the plastic cap, and holes must be drilled in the top section of the cap for the hinge and locking pin.

ARB Bull Bar for Land Rover LR3

ARB's finest Land Rover product to date. This replaces the stock Land Rover LR3 front bumper. It's all steel, and it's perfect for protection from deer, rocks, errant traffic, snow banks, and heavy brush. It's an excellent platform for mounting a winch or driving lights (sold separately). It does accommodate factory fog lights if originally fitted to your vehicle. It comes in satin black; it can be painted to match yourLR3's bodywork as shown above. It can also be used with our LR3 under bumper skid plate shown below. The ARB LR3 bumper is SRS (airbag) compatible and tested.

The best feature of ARB bars is their light weight. Loading up your LR3 with a lot of heavy accessories will reduce brake life, performance, and mileage. These LR3 bumpers look heavy, but the deep draw stamped and folded steel construction is strong and very light. Other bumpers are fabricated from individual plates welded together, which requires thicker material and adds weight.

Note: this is a complex kit and requires temporary removal of body components to fit. Unlike previous ARB bars which were straightforward bolt-ons, this one will take some time. If you are a skilled home mechanic you and a few friends can mount it in a day. Otherwise, you might consider having your local 4X4 shop do this one. Modern vehicles are a good deal more complex than the historic Land Rovers, and the independent suspension chassis are a good deal more sophisticated than the old days. All of the offroad gear is harder to mount, but well worth the effort.

These plates and guards protect the most critical components, and bolt right on with no modifications to the vehicle. We do recommend professional installation since the construction of the LR3 requires additional steps to fitting these kits from what you might be used to.
