The
most vulnerable parts of a Land Rover when driving
off road are the front differential housing (the
lowest point on the truck) and the steering rods.
A well placed rock can render the steering or diff
inoperable, spoiling a fun day. BP now stocks just
the right gear to save those exposed components.
The
steering protector (left) bolts to existing mounts on
your truck: bumper and steering box, grade 8 hardware
included. The average do it yourselfer can fit one in
an hour or so: no cutting, welding, or drilling required!
The braces are coated in black vinyl to resist rock
chips, and the aluminum skid plate is replaceable in
case of damage. The plate is also reinforced with a
box section steel brace. It's strong but not
too heavy, and it's affordable: perfect for most off
roaders.
