BP has the right jerry can for you and everything to go with it! These are the good ones, all brand new and top of the line quality. NATO style  jerry cans have long been preferred for off road use. The lever action caps seal tightly to permit storage on their sides without any drips or leaks, and the lock pin prevents them from coming loose in hard off road use. For CARB approved gas cans, where emmission laws see bottom of this page.

Note: if using cans for bioproducts such as cooking oil, some areas will not permit the use of unlined cans. Food approved cans may be required, check with your local laws.

20Liter: standard 5.25 gallons cans, 17" tall, 7" wide, 14" across

10 Liter: 2.6 gallon cans are perfect for reducing the weight of handling full jerry cans: a full 20L jerry can weighs 33 lbs., while a full 10L jerry can weighs in at 18.  11" tall, 7" wide, 14" across.  This shorter can also helps minimize wind resistance of your roof rack load.

5 Liter: Smallest size available.  These 'one gallon' jerry cans can be used for motorcycles, scooters, lawnmowers, leaf blowers, ATF, 90wt, engine oil, or to have a spare gallon of gas in the car for emergencies. Also great for small fishing boats and snowmobiles! 12.25" tall, 4.75" wide, 9" across

 

The blue 20L potable water jerry cans are made with food approved lining, while still featuring the durable, leak proof features of the other metal cans.  They also now come with a special larger cap to make filling and pouring easier, shown on the left below, and compared to the older discontinued style on the right.

 

5 liter (1.3 gallon) small Jerry Can: Same top and spout, same rugged steel construction. Only 12" tall, 9" across, and 4 3/4" wide, it's perfect for emergency ATF or 90wt. on the trail, or for generator fuel. They can be stored on their sides and won't leak like the small plastic cans from the hardware store! This is the perfect choice for kitting out an ATV or a motorcycle for long range travel into remote areas.

CARB approved gas cans

California Air Resources Board approved steel 5 gallon gas cans, fitted with no-spill spouts. Legal in all states where restrictions on portable fuel containers exist. The screw-on spout fits inside the cap for storage and transport. Fits in our 20L jerry can carrier GJC003, as shown above (sold separately).

Spouts for Jerry Cans

Our all metal utility spouts are flexible, and use the same lever locking action as the cap. They are fitted with an integral vent for faster flow, and they contain a fine filter screen. These are designed for unleaded fuel restrictors, and can be used with all older NATO Jerry Cans. The semi flex spout is another good option. The plastic tip is more flexible than the metal one and can be used in a variety or restricted openings, perfect for adding emergency oil to differentials, or trans/steering fluid. Both are legal in most states if your local environmental laws permit, but cannot be used in California or Pennsylvania for motor fuel use . They can be used for emergency fluids such as oil, coolant or ATF. These spouts do not fit the new wide mouth water cans

20 & 10 Liter Jerry Can Carriers:

Lockable steel frame securely holds the metal 10 or 20 liter Jerry Cans. The hinged top arm is drilled for a padlock, and the frame is predrilled for mounting bolts. Several rubber pads are used to hold the Jerry Can securely in off road use. The thick gloss black finish is ready for years of severe weather. NATO Jerry Cans can be mounted horizontally: they will not leak. Remember to allow for the full length of the can above the holder.

STA-BIL Fuel Additive

Gas stabilizer for all vehicles and jerry can storage

 

Modern gasoline has a very short shelf life. If you're storing gasoline for more than a month or two, you'll need to add Sta-Bil to make sure it's still usable when you need it. Sta-Bil is concentrated, and comes with a self measuring container. One bottle treats 20 gallons! Make sure the fuel stored in your jerrycan (or in your vehicle it if has to sit for any period of time) will be fresh and ready to run for up to a year.
